Dr. Chokshi is currently Director of Neuroradiology Services at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Assistant Professor of Radiology & Imaging Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine. He joined the Emory faculty in 2011, after a Fellowship in Diagnostic Neuroradiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and diagnostic radiology residency at The Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami.

He has authored manuscripts and conference presentations on such topics as practice management and health policy in radiology, assessing radiology resident workloads using Medicare claims data, and MR and CT imaging for spinal imaging. He has been an invited speaker at a growing number of high-profile radiology scientific meetings including the RSNA, AUR, ASNR and the ASSR. He is also active on a number of national committees & societies, including ACR, ASNR, and ASSR. Dr. Chokshi has received a number of awards including the AJNR Junior Editorial Fellowship & Emory Radiology’s Rising Star Award. In 2015 he received a prestigious AUR GE Radiology Research Academic Fellowship (GERRAF) grant for career development in health services research.

Dr. Chokshi’s academic interests are two-fold: 1) combining advanced MRI technology assessment for spinal disorders and spinal pain and 2) health services and outcomes research for the value, utilization, and costs associated with diagnostic imaging and image guided interventions, emphasizing neuroradiological diseases. He has recently started to integrate biomedical informatics, big data theory, and machine learning (artificial intelligence) in order to better address these issues.
