Dr. Cox was awarded the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America Research & Education Foundation during her residency and received the Glaskow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement from the American Medical Women’s Association in residency. Recently her publication on Bosniak category IIF and III cystic renal lesions was one of Radiology’s most-read articles in 2012.  She also currently teaches a medical student course on female pelvic imaging, as well as gastrointestinal imaging.

Dr. Cox’s primary area of interest is abdominal and pelvic MRI. Her current research projects include preoperative MRI evaluation of pre-renal transplant patients and comparative evaluation of contrast enhanced and non-contrast enhanced evaluation of hypervascular liver metastases and hepatocellular carcinoma.
