Dr. Pourmorteza is a biomedical engineer and CT physicist whose research is focused on bench-to-bedside translation and validation of novel imaging technologies with a special interest in spectral and high-resolution CT. Prior to joining Emory, he led the National Institute of Health photon-counting CT group where he carried out the first clinical studies of photon-counting CT.
