Dr. Qiu is an MR physicist and clinical application scientist with expertise in the development and application of novel imaging techniques. He publishes widely in high-impact journals and served as a reviewer of many prestigious journals. He was awarded a Junior Fellowship by the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine in 2012.

Dr. Qiu’s research focuses on the development of advanced MR neuroimaging techniques for studying normal brain functions and neurological diseases. He has expertise in MR pulse sequence design and implementation, image reconstruction methods, and image post processing. He has extensive experience on advanced diffusion imaging techniques, quantitative susceptibility imaging, arterial spin labeling based perfusion imaging, USPIO contrast agent and fMRI imaging. He is conducting research to push the boundaries of MR capacity.
