Dr. Liya Wang is a physician-scientist and has a broad background in clinical radiology and translational research with emphasis on MRI/MRS. She has more than 20 years of clinical experiences in diagnostic imaging applying to many diseases and disorders. Her post-doctoral research was mostly in MRI applications in various disease models, particularly cancer models.

In addition to clinical radiology experiences and knowledge, Dr. Wang’s has substantial experiences in preclinical animal imaging and setting up & optimizing MRI protocols for testing and investigating tissue morphology and physiology as well as experiences in quantitative measurements based on the image data. Her current research involves: 1) MRI-based molecular and cellular imaging; 2) functional/physiological MRI methods for cancer detection and interventional treatment; 3) image-guided drug delivery.
