- I have been very fortunate to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for three consecutive years during my training at Emory as part of the Global Health Initiative within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences.
My experience in Addis Ababa was incredible, both from a medical and a cultural perspective. I had the opportunity to interact with the residents both inside the hospital and out.
I traveled with Dr. Gill to Ethiopia with the goal of continuing the educational relationship with Black Lion Hospital and their Department of Radiology.
I have always had a desire to help in an underserved area of the world, and the Global Health Resident Scholarship program at Emory School of Medicine helped me accomplish this goal during my R3 year.
