National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee of the FDA and American College of Radiology Commissions on Breast Imaging, Economics, and Quality and Safety
Mimi Newell, MD
Dr. Mimi Newell was selected to serve on the National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee of the FDA. The National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee advises on developing appropriate quality standards and regulations for the use of mammography facilities.
She also is an invited participant for the American College of Radiology Commissions on Breast Imaging, Economics, and Quality and Safety (jointly with The Society of Breast Imaging) for the Future Leaders Program. This is a special program to develop future leaders in the use of scientific evidence to help in the defense of breast cancer screening.

Ivan DeQuesada is the 2015 recipient for the Rutherford-Lavanty Fellowship. This fellowship allows residents to gain an understanding of state and federal legislative and regulatory processes and the ACR role therein. Nima Kokabi was awarded the SIR Foundation Resident Fellow Research Award for his presentation at the SIR meeting on “Disparities in the Contemporary Clinical Management of Stage 1A Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Study.” This was a spinoff of the pilot work that supported his RSNA trainee grant.ACR-AUR Research Scholar Award

Arvind Vijayasarathi was awarded the ACR-AUR Research Scholar Award for his upcoming presentation at a special session at the AUR meeting. His project is entitled “How Much Do Common Imaging Studies Cost? A Nationwide Survey of Radiology Trainees."
