Director of Head and Neck Imaging
Dr. Aiken was recently appointed as the Director of Head and Neck Imaging. She is widely known for her leadership and innovation in head and neck imaging and contributed to the rigorous evaluation of novel techniques for enhancing the diagnosis of head and neck cancer.
Elizabeth Belt-Hudson
Clinical Operations Manager, Interventional Radiology
Elizabeth joins us from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where she spent 12 years as a Senior Clinical Administrative Manager in the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. In her new position as a Clinical Operations Manager, Elizabeth manages the day-to-day operations of the interventional radiology scheduling team. She also establishes goals to enhance operational efficiencies both internally and externally and helps ensure Patient Care Coordinators are providing quality patient care through communications with patients, their families, and/or physicians as requested in order to maintain and achieve an overall stellar patient satisfaction experience. For Elizabeth, the most exciting part of her new role with Emory Radiology is that everyone has the same vision and is dedicated to the mission of serving the patient at all costs.Stephanie Keal Hawkins, PA-C

It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Stephanie Keal Hawkins. Stephanie is a Board Certified Physician Assistant practicing primarily at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown and recently celebrated 21 years as an Emory employee. Prior to joining Radiology in 2017, she practiced Neurosurgery at Emory for 10 years and treated patients with cranial and spinal disease. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked as an occupational therapist. Stephanie has a Masters of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant from Emory University.
Bill S. Majdalany, MD
Associate Professor
Emory Radiology welcomes Dr. Bill S. Majdalany, MD, as an Associate Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Program Director of the Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship, and Program Co-Director of the IR/DR Residency. A medical school graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Majdalany completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in 2011 and his Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the same institution in 2012. Prior to joining Emory on February 1, 2019, Dr. Majdalany held positions at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical center and the University of Michigan Heath System.
Savitha Memula
Information Analyst
Savitha Memula joins Emory Radiology as an Information Analyst. Savitha is most excited about challenging herself as she looks forward to an opportunity to use the knowledge and apply the skills she developed over the past 17 years through her previous position at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) involving data support. She hopes to help with data analysis reports by processing, cleaning, transforming and modeling data with goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions and supporting decision making. Savitha loves making new friends, getting to know people, and learning about other cultures and backgrounds.
Tracy E. Powell, MSN, ANP-BC

It is great pleasure we announce the promotion of Tracy E. Powell. Tracy has served as Interim Chief APP for the past 6 months. She spent most of her career at Emory, starting as a Critical Care RN in 1989. She became a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner in 1997. She left Emory to practice Internal Medicine for 10 years and returned in 2007 to practice Urology before joining Radiology in 2010. In 2015, Tracy became the first Lead APP within the department and helped establish the Interventional Radiology Inpatient APP Role at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Her primary interests are establishing efficient work flow processes to ensure high quality patient care, team building and elevating the APP’s scope of practice within Radiology.
Joshua Rayford, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Advanced Practice Provider
Joshua, a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, will practice primarily in the Department of Interventional Radiology at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Prior to joining Emory, he practiced Family Medicine for two years and treated patients across the life span. He has more than 14 years of experience, with focuses in Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Critical Care. Joshua earned his Masters of Science in Nursing from Samford University and is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
Neil Resnick, MD
Assistant Professor
Emory Radiology welcomes Dr. Neil Resnick as Assistant Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and Clinical Site Director for Interventional Radiology at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. A medical school graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Resnick served in the United States Navy, including several years as an active duty medical officer and flight surgeon. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Maine Medical Center at Tufts University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Prior to joining Emory, Dr. Resnick was Division Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.
Deb Smith, MBA
Clinical Administrator
Deb Smith, MBA, Director of Academic Affairs, has been promoted to Clinical Administrator for the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. In her new role, she will continue to provide leadership and oversight for all business administration aspects of our research and education programs, as well as an expanded leadership focus on financial, strategic, and human resources support for our faculty and staff.
