RSNA Grants

Emory Radiology scored four successful RSNA grants this year. Please take time to congratulate these individuals on their wonderful accomplishments and contributions to our department:

Research Seed Grant
Kelly Lynn Cox, DO

Kelly received a Research Seed Grant for her research proposal “MRI Liver Surface Nodularity Score as a New Noninvasive Biomarker for Chronic Viral Hepatitis”. The purpose of the grant is to enable all levels of investigators throughout the world in defining objectives and testing hypotheses in preparation of major grant applications to corporations, foundations, and governmental agencies.

Research Resident/Fellow Grant
Gelareh Sadigh, MD

Gelareh was awarded a Research Resident/Fellow Grant for her research proposal “Breast Cancer Screening in Patients with Newly Diagnosed Cancer: a SEER-Medicare Population Study of Utilization and Potential Appropriateness”. This grant provides young investigators an opportunity to gain further insight into scientific investigation and to gain competence in research techniques and methods in anticipation of establishing a career in academic radiologic science.

Yoon-Jin Kim

Alex and Yoon- Jin each received a Research Medical Student Grant. This grant will offer them a research experience in medical imaging and to encourage them to consider academic radiology as an important option for their futures.
