Zach Bercu, MD
Clinical Site Director for Interventional Radiology at Emory University Hospital Midtown
Dr. Bercu has been appointed clinical site director for IR at EUH Midtown. He continues to serve as the assistant program director for Interventional Radiology Residency and Fellowship at Emory. Dr. Bercu joined Emory Radiology in 2015 and has since continued the traditions of providing excellent patient-centered care, driving for educational efficacy, and fostering innovation.
Laura Findeiss, MD, FSIR
Chief of Service for Radiology, Grady Hospital
As chief of service for Emory Radiology at Grady Hospital, Dr. Findeiss brings expertise in multidisciplinary care, multispecialty collaboration, teamwork, and operational efficiency and standardization. She emphasizes the role of the radiologist as a consultant member of the patient care team and works to create structures that support the consultative practice of radiology. She is a vascular and interventional radiologist committed to the pursuit of systems of care that support quality outcomes and patient and provider satisfaction. Her clinical and academic interests include peripheral arterial disease, vascular anomalies, and oncolytic immunotherapy.
Patrick Hickey, AGACNP
Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Patrick Hickey returned to Emory Radiology this year as an adult geriatric acute care nurse practitioner. In this position, Patrick is part of the APP team and performs procedures. He was previously a registered nurse within the department and worked on the VAT team. He is based primarily at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
Towanda Lindsey, RN, NP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Towanda Lindsey recently joined Emory Radiology as a nurse practitioner at Grady Hospital. Towanda is a member of the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia (UAPRN) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She graduated from Brenau University with BS and MS degrees in nursing and has previously held roles as nurse practitioner and radiology nurse.
Justin McClain, MD, MRMD (MRSC)
Assistant Professor
Dr. McClain is a board certified abdominal radiologist and magnetic resonance medical director (MRMD) with broad expertise interpreting MRI, CT, ultrasound, & fluoroscopy. He helps train fellows and residents, teaches medical students, and actively participates in several multidisciplinary conferences.
Janice Newsome, MD
Director, Division of Interventional Radiology and Image-Guided Medicine
Dr. Newsome has been appointed director of the Division of Interventional Radiology after serving as interim division director. She joined Emory Radiology in 2015 as clinical IR site director for Emory University Hospital Midtown. Dr. Newsome also has served in the roles of associate program director of the Interventional Radiology ACGME Residency and Fellowship Program, and associate division director. Over the past three years, she has overseen the growth and development of patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic interventional imaging services at Emory Midtown with a focus on improving patient safety by standardizing pre-, intra-, and post-procedural workflow.
Susan Reich, BHM,RDMS,CLSSBB
Enterprise Manager of Quality, Imaging Services
Susan Reich has been appointed as the enterprise manager of quality. Susan started with Emory in 1990. She served as the Emory University Hospital Midtown ultrasound supervisor for eight years, and her most recent position was as an ultrasound clinician technologist-IV. In addition to her technologist positions, Susan has served in many roles including quality coach for RLA and QI project teams, ARDMS content writer and editor for registry questions, quality consultant, and Office 365 super user. She holds advanced certification and training in process improvement.
A. Nina Watson, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Watson is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty fellowship training in breast imaging. She is interested in identifying and eliminating disparities in breast cancer screening and diagnosis in underserved patient populations. Additionally, Dr. Watson is passionate about global radiology outreach programs to provide education and training to technologists, medical trainees and attending radiologists internationally. She serves on committees with the American Board of Radiology, American College of Radiology, and Society of Breast Imaging.
